Sunday Bible Study- 1 Thessalonians

There are over 300 prophesies relating to the Messiah’s return in the Old Testament that were fulfilled prior to Christ’s birth. There are over 1000 related to Christ’s second coming. The odds are pretty good that they will all happen. It’s not a matter of If Christ will return, it’s a matter of when.

Download and print out these Bible studies for the in-depth exploration of Paul's first letter to the newly established congregation of believers at Thessalonica, written around 51 AD.

“God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Week One- May 4

Deut. 29:29 – “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law..”  What does it mean to be a pre-millennialist, Post Millennialist or A-Millennialist and why does it matter to me? More importantly, what does “The Avengers” movie have to do with all of this?

Week Two- May 11

We continue with the study of what is LC-MS position on the Millennial and Christ’s return as we continue with last week’s discussion. Remember, Christ is not coming back for a lukewarm church. We can’t have a jersey and never set foot on the field.

Week Three- May 18

Does knowing others have suffered persecution for being a Christian comfort you when sharing God’s Word? And why does God test our heart? Come and find out on Sunday morning at 9:30 after church.

Week Four- June 8

There are many temptations and trials that as Christians we endure. The week we’ll review ways we become shipwrecked in our faith, and how God defines sexual purity.

Week 5- June 21

We are told to mind our own business and work with our hands. How does this mindset help the non-Christian?

Week 6- June 29
